Riyadh – Mubasher: The stocks of Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Company, the Saudi Indian Company for Cooperative Insurance (Wafa Insurance), and Malath Cooperative Insurance Company led the Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) losers during Sunday’s trading activities.
This occured after the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) halted the three firms from issuing or renewing mandatory vehicle insurance policies.
By 12:10 pm KSA time, Arabian Shield’s stock retreated 9.2% to SAR 42.65, Wafa Insurance’s stock declined 6.84% to SAR 22.94, and Malath’s stock levelled down 6.04% to SAR 20.68.
In the meantime, the insurance sector shed 0.35%.
Meanwhile, the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 0.66% or 47.2 points, reaching 7,226.5 points.
